Medical Marijuana Vs Home Grown Marijuana- The Court Fight!

02/13/2018

Law and order are good but have you asked a cancerous dying man what he thinks of the fund depleting medical marijuana? I was listening to this weed talk show called C-life Radio and they discussed this particular case which really made me think if we are really free from the shackles of obedience. I seriously don't have trouble following the law but I don't think I may be able to do that at the cost of my life.

Redner Homegrown Lawsuit

Floridians are allowed to consume medical marijuana and that's great for all the patients who are not able to find help through conventional treatments. However, this medical marijuana patient, Redner, filed a lawsuit even after acquiring marijuana medically from the state.

If you follow cannabis news like I do then you might know the entire case but if not, here is why he did it and why it was the right thing to do!

Redner was diagnosed with stage-4 cancer and he was able to survive it with his medical marijuana treatment. He agreed that he wouldn't have been able to survive it otherwise. But medical marijuana is expensive and he argued for fresh marijuana to get the best of what this plant can provide. He said that he is representing all the patients who cannot afford medical marijuana to appeal that they all be allowed to grow marijuana of their own to get access to the fresh leaves at almost no cost.

Well, Florida Department of Health filed a motion to dismiss Redner's case but the motion was denied and the judge gave two weeks of time to the Department to come up with some options which allow Redner to grow his own marijuana.

This ruling has had a tremendous response from the cannabis industry and everyone has their optimistic eyes in the future with anticipation. Although the ruling strictly applied to Redner, there's a hope for all the survivors out there that Florida may change its stance in its cultivation constraints.

I love how these radio shows keep us in the loop with cannabis and CBD live stories for a better understanding. If you are living in one of the more liberal states which allow marijuana cultivation, make sure you follow cannabis growing podcasts and radio shows. They deliver immense information not only on the laws but also about the characteristics of cannabis and hemp.
